I just happened to be in West Hollywood today with my fiance getting her engagement ring resized when she mentioned she wanted to drive by a few restaurants just up the street. One of these restaurants was "Pump" right off of Santa Monica Blvd. We had no idea why there was a crowd of people around and just assumed someone famous was outside. Then, we noticed the Ferrari F430 crashed into the patio of Pump.
My brother got me a photo light box for Christmas and today I set it up for the first time. I haven't had any time to go out and shoot pictures so I've been trying to get creative as far as what I could shoot at home and decided to open this light box package up.. IT IS HUGE AND BRIGHT!! Pictured is Dave Phinney's Lip Service Rye Whiskey aged for a minimum of 3 years in new charred American Oak and finished in Dave's Grenache barrels from France. Dave Phinney has been a legend in the wine business for decades and has started a second spirits company on legendary Mare Island in 2018 called Savage & Cooke.
Here is attempt #1 at trying to do a sunset timelapse. I'm not too happy with this but I know where I went wrong and can only improve from here. This is tonight's sunset from my backyard in Ontario California.
So.. Every other year Sam Adams (Boston Beer Company) makes a $200+ beer called "Utopias." It clocks in at 28% ABV and is different every time they brew it. This past New Years Eve I decided to open up the bottle I purchased back in 2017 to share with a few close people in my life. Notes from Sam Adams: "This year's release is a blend of batches, some have been aging up to 24 years in a variety of barrels. We aged a portion of the beer in hand-selected, single-use bourbon casks from the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. We then take a portion of this beer and age it in Aquavit, Carcavelos, Ruby Port, and Muscat finishing barrels..."
Happy New Year! The 2010's are now behind us and we have a fresh start in a new decade. All of the holiday craziness is over and hopefully I can now focus on some goals of mine. I will try to document as much as I can over the next year taking as many pictures and videos as I can. This is all for fun and to help me sharpen up my skills.
